Ligia Moreiras Sena, a founder of the website "Scientist who became a mother", wanted to be an aeronautical engineer. To the 15 years, his professional desires added a training in ITA, Technological Institute of Aeronautics. But at the time, the institute did not accept women.

Ligia Moreiras Sena, is a biologist and PhD in Sciences and Public Health.
She had the desire to be a scientist from adolescence, but she changed her plans and graduated in Biology from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp). His work in the biological sciences began with research in neuroscience and neuropharmacology, the area in which he devoted his productions to both the master's degree in science by the University of São Paulo (USP) and his first specialization, also in science, by UFSC.
